Can you believe there is only one month left in 2017? It has been a productive year with challenging new experiences. I am so excited about what the future will bring and I think the best is yet to come in 2018. How about you? Have you set your goals yet? I created goal-setting worksheets (8.5” x 11”/ PDF format) while I was working on setting my goals. I thought these worksheets may be helpful to clarify your visions and keep track of your productivity.
Here is a step-by-step guide to using these 4-page worksheets to set up your business goals.
1. Write down your big goals. How do you envision your business in 10 years? How much do you want to make? What type of clients do you want to work with? What type of projects do you want to work on? Do you want to hire staff members? If so, how many? Where do you want your office located? Do you want to work fewer hours to spend more time with your family? Where do you want to go on your vacations? And so on.... Don't limit yourself and feel free to write down whatever you want to accomplish.
2. Break down your goals. Write down specific actions you are going to take within 5 years to accomplish your big goals. And then write down the specific actions to take within 3 years. You need to plan in order to achieve your long- term goals.
3. Create your vision board. Visualize the workspace you want to work at, the vacation you want to go on, your ideal team members and so on... What kind of words motivate you? What is your favorite quote? Find inspirational images and words that align with your goals and dreams. You can find them in old magazines, catalogs, and Pinterest. Paste them onto the page. Once you create a vision board put it someplace where you can see it every day and feel as if you have accomplished it already. Make this visualization practice a daily habit, and you will naturally become more motivated to reach your goals and dreams.
" Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life, because you become what you believe."
- Oprah Winfrey
4. Make your yearly and monthly goals. Write down your goals for coming year. Look at your calendar and write a plan for each month. How much you want to make? How many Instagram followers do you want to get? How do you approach your target clients/customers? When do you send out your flyers? Make your marketing plan and write down a specific schedule.
5 . Stay focused and productive. For each day, write down 5 things you want to do and check it off when you are done. If you couldn't finish, add it to the next day’s list. I write a to-do list every morning and find it very helpful. I get things done smoothly and have a productive day. It's working surprisingly well. Long-term goals require time and planning but if you have a passion for what you do and you keep working on your list every day, you will accomplish your goals.
These worksheets work for your private-life, health, finance and whatever else you want to accomplish as well.
I hope these worksheets help you keep focused each day and achieve your goals!
